I received this email from a student today:
So, how many paragraphs do you have to write? The answer is: each question will be different. Although I have never read a good answer that was less than 4 or more than 5.
So, I guess the answer to the question is, a good answer will contain 4 or 5 paragraphs. A typical answer will contain the following:
1. An introduction.
2. Descriptions of one or part of, a graph or table.
3. Descriptions of another part of a graph or table.
4. A summary statement.
Hi Scott, my old IELTS teacher back in India told me that
recently format for task 1 in writing had changed. According to her, now there
are 4 paragraphs for writing task 1. Can you please let me know about it?
