Business success is often a question of proper marketing. One marketing theory says that people have to see a need before they buy a new product, and then the product addresses this need. Steve Jobs, the former head of Apple computers, knew this very well. Apple bought products that had failed for other companies, such as the music player iPod, re-engineered them and then marketed them to its already-existing users. The iPod was not just a music player; it also allowed the user to buy music cheaply from the iTunes store, thus revolutionizing how people buy and listen to music.
