Consider the following placings in the 2016 Olympic 100m final:

1st: Usain Bolt (9.81s)
2nd: Justin Gatlin (9.89s)
3rd: Andre De Grasse (9.91s)
4th: Yohan Blake (9.93s)
5th: Akani Simbine (9.94s)

How can we write about these in one paragraph?  Easily
B).

In first place was Bolt, next was Gatlin - 9.81s and 9.89s *respectively.  In third place was De Grasse (9.91s) followed closely by Blake (9.93s). In last place was Simbine (9.94s).

Now, try to write a sentence describing the following:

Number of students in Ballarat High School:

Grade 8: 13
Grade 9: 15
Grade 10: 9
Grade 11: 35
Grade 12: 24

Write your answer in the comment boxes below.

*respectively = in the order given; in this case Bolt first and Gatlin second.
