Hello! I would to ask about the use of the personal pronouns in IELTS General Training, both task 1 and task 2. Is it better we avoid then? Do we lose marks? I am raising the question because I normally like to give same examples from my personal life in order to have the arguments to support statement. Thank you.

    Hi Guilhermedefend

    Good question B) !

In IELTS G.T. Task 1 you will be asked to write a letter (informal or formal). There are a number of different situations you may be asked to write about but in each case, it will be you writing (from your point-of-view) and therefore you can use words like 'I', 'me', 'my' because the letters you write will be based on your opinion.

For an answer to your Task 2 question, please see here.

All the best with your IELTS test!
