Who takes the TOEFL test?
The TOEFL test is a test of a person's ability to understand and use academic English, in particular, North American English (the United States and English-speaking Canada).
The exam is used by many universities to evaluate the level of students who would like to study in these countries. However, your score can also be used for immigration purposes to prove your level of English.
Some employers also accept the TOEFL test as a way for employees to show their English level when applying for a job or when asking for a promotion.
