IELTS TOEFL Reading: I can't read all the words quickly enough!

Have you tried some IELTS or TOEFL practice tests and you can't read all the words within the time? Are you too slow with your reading?

Here are some suggestions for improving your reading success:

  • Read the first and last paragraphs of the passage to get the main idea.
  • Don't spend too long on difficult questions.  If you find yourself taking too long on a question, leave it and move on.
  • If you complete the section and you think you didn't do very well - FORGET ABOUT IT!  Move on with confidence to the next section.
