What is a verb?

A verb is a linking word or an action word.

For example:

The machine works.
He is a manager.
She uses the computer.

There are three types of verbs. Verbs that do not take objects (called intransitive), like fallrun, or swim; verbs that have an object after them (called transitive), like putbuy, or see. There are also verbs that link two nouns, or a noun and an adjective, like be, seem or become.

Examples:

She runs every day before going to her office.
saw the job announcement in the newspaper.
That hat seems appropriate in the current cold weather.

What are the verbs in the following the sentences?

1. They go to see their clients every week.
2. He realized his mistake after he had sent the document.
3. She feels uncomfortable in her new position.
