A student wrote the following as part of his Writing Task 2 answer:

Improvements in technology are increasing each year. Likewise, the ways we learn is changing in many ways. Indeed, information and communication technology has seen rapid advances over the past 2-3 decades.

What's wrong here?

Well, there is an issue with the use of 2-3 decades.  The general rule for writing numbers is if they are less than 10, spell them out as words.  If you have numbers greater than 10, you should just simply write the number.

So, we recommend the above quote be written thus:

Improvements in technology are increasing each year. Likewise, the ways we learn is changing in many ways. Indeed, information and communication technology has seen rapid advances over the past two to three decades.
