The first part of the Cambridge Speaking Exam is a series of "getting to know you" questions.

The most important piece of advice is to stay calm. These questions give the examiner a chance to hear you speak and you get the chance to show that you can speak English.

Sample questions:

Where do you come from?

Where have you lived in your life? Have you ever moved from one place to another?

Can you describe where you grew up?

Do people in your country recycle? What do they recycle? How?

Do people worry about the environment in your country?

What is the weather like where you come from?

How do you like to spend your free time?

Do you like to read? Can you describe the last book you read? Was it good?

Do you prefer to read a book or to watch a movie?

Do you often go to the cinema and who do you go with?

Do you watch series? Which ones? How (on your telephone, computer, tablet)?
