The first part of the Cambridge Speaking Exam is a series of "getting to know you" questions.

The most important piece of advice is to stay calm. These questions give the examiner a chance to hear you speak and you get the chance to show that you can speak English.

Sample questions:

What do you do in the evenings after school (or work)?

Do you prefer to be alone or with people?

Talk about an important film.

Do you cook? What can you cook?

What did you do on your last birthday?

Talk about an important festival in your country.

What will you do this weekend?

Do you prefer films or series?

Talk about a recent TV program that you've seen.

How do you use the Internet?

Do you listen to the radio?

REMEMBER: these questions are not tricks, but simply to allow you to speak about subjects you already know.
