In the TOEFL integrated Writing Task you must read some text, listen to part of a lecture and then write a summary of what you read and heard. You may take notes.
If you use words from the reading passage and lecture and you copy them exactly (verbatim), you may receive a 0 score. You must therefore substitute key words with synonyms for the vocabulary you read or hear.
