Students often confuse the words 'most' and 'most of' in English

We recently read an essay with the line, "Most of the young people today use a lot of technology."

But this is wrong! It should be, "Most young people today use a lot of technology."

The rule is fairly easy. When you are referring to a large group in general, use most. For example, "Most French wine is consumed in other countries."

When you are referring to a particular case, use most of. Most of the wine made in Bordeaux is exported to other countries.
In this sentence, the wine is specifically wine from Bordeaux.

Use most or most of in the following sentences.
